Fiona Hayles

Managing Partner

Fiona is one of the UK's foremost financial litigators and recognised expert in the field of Consumer Credit Claims. Qualifying as a solicitor in 2002 Fiona specialised very early on in financial sector litigation, initially with Wragge & Co (now Gowlings) and then increasingly senior roles before becoming Partner and Head of Banking Litigation at Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

She has worked with many well-known high street lenders, with a notable track record in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, including the leading PPI mis-selling case of Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance Limited. She brings a remarkable energy and focus to Hyperian, born out of a strong personal conviction that justice, fair outcomes and effective representation should be available to all.

Alexandra Cooper

Senior Associate

Alex is a solicitor with significant experience advising on disputes, including banking and financial matters, and has acted for a broad mix of clients (from individuals to PLCs).

Alex qualified as a solicitor over 10 years ago, starting out in the Commercial Litigation team of Harrison Clark Rickerbys, before moving to the legal and secretarial function of a specialist insurance provider. Alex joined Hyperian in October 2023.

Alex believes strongly in access to justice and is motivated by enabling clients to exercise this right to achieve a resolution of their disputes.

Maddie Hough

After gaining her law degree, Maddie joined Harrison Clark Rickerbys where she completed her Legal Practice Course alongside a Masters in Law. As a paralegal she spent five years working in Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery before moving into Commercial Litigation. For the two years prior to joining Hyperian, Maddie worked closely with Fiona Hayles in the areas of Consumer Credit Claims and PCP and that effective partnership has now been renewed.

Vicky Harding

Following the completion of her law degree and Bar Practice Course, Vicky started her career as a paralegal at Harrison Clark Rickerbys. Working within the Dispute Resolution team, Vicky quickly found a niche in financial litigation and is now bringing her skill and energies to Hyperian Law. Having supported a number of pro bono initiatives in recent years, Vicky is a strong believer in effective representation being available to all.

Daniel Godfrey

Dan has over 15 years' experience in the legal sector. He was an associate solicitor at Harrison Clark Rickerbys before moving to Hyperian as Senior Associate. During his time at HCR, Dan established himself as one of the country's brightest talents in the field of Debt Recovery. He oversaw significant growth in the team both in terms of staff and client base.

Dan's experience of both the technical side of finance-based litigation and the fast-paced nature of volume debt recovery and general commercial litigation make him an invaluable asset to the senior team.
